David and Kate Gungor are based in New York City with their four children. Kate is a classically-trained violinist and violist. She is a Suzuki-certified violin teacher and has a private studio in the city. Kate also plays a wide variety of performances with artists including Luciano Pavarotti, Pete Townshend, and Chris Martin. 

David is a musician, a pastor at Trinity Grace Tribeca, the Director of Partnerships for a peacemaking organization called Telos, and the CEO of Higher Love. 

David is also a producer and song writer, and is in a band called The Brilliance. David is involved with Narrative 4, a global organization headed up by some of the world's most renowned and influential authors, artists, and community leaders who have come together to promote empathy through the exchange of stories.
