The Telos Group is a not-for-profit organization that forms communities of peacemakers to heal supposedly intractable conflict. Committed to unleashing the agency of diverse groups of engaged and impactful citizen-advocates, we believe that everyone has a role to play in creating a more equitable and sustainable world. We have innovated a unique model of conflict transformation that leads cohorts of leaders and their communities through immersive, transformative experiences and then equips them to be lifelong peacemakers.

Historically, we have focused on one critical aspect of one internationalized conflict: America’s relationship to the Holy Land. By building the American pro-Israeli, pro- Palestinian, pro-peace movement at the nexus of faith, culture, and enterprise, we’ve sowed the seeds of a movement of unusual suspects--conservatives and progressives, artists and entrepreneurs, and secular and religious Americans, including evangelical Christians--that could one day change the underlying structures that help sustain conflict in Israel/Palestine.

Yet we have also begun to replicate our model to other areas, including domestically here in the United States and supposed “post-conflict zones” like South Africa.

Our change theory works, but it is not simple—and we are in our early stages. Both the subject matter and our model sometimes invite spirited criticism from across the political spectrum. Our team is based in various geographies and, much like our core network of nearly 2,000 American leaders, is diverse in background, theology and ideology.
